COVID Weddings

There is no doubt that 2020 has changed the way we look at weddings and everyday life. Due to the pandemic, many couples have had to postpone their wedding or rethink how they want to get married. This is very stressful but with a little creative thinking, your wedding day can be just as beautiful as you originally imagined.

Here are just a few ideas of what some couples have done to adjust to the pandemic:

1) Cut your guest list by 50%, require all your guests to wear masks, and drop your table size down to 6 people instead of 8.

2) Live stream your ceremony followed by a small dinner with just close family and friends.

3) Provide bracelets for your guests that allow them to tell you what their comfortability is for social distancing. Green means hugs, yellow means a handshake or elbow, red means they prefer to keep a distance.

4) Have an outdoor wedding with a smaller amount of guests.

No matter how you decide to celebrate, the most important thing is that you walked away from your wedding married! Maybe this means you get 2 celebrations, one now and a bigger party later. Be creative, work with an event planner, talk to your family about their comfort levels. Your wedding day is beautiful no matter how many people are there to share it with you. The pandemic isn't ideal, but your wedding is one of the best days of your life, and nothing can stand in the way of that.

TIP: If you have a wedding in 2021 please be aware that many 2020 weddings had to get pushed to 2021. That means many vendors have several weddings a day or are booked even further out. Make sure to get with all your dream vendors as soon as possible to make sure you have your day reserved.
